Editorial Policy

Last updated: June 2026·3 min read

Ayurvedaa is committed to publishing accurate, balanced, and clearly sourced content about Ayurveda and wellness. Our editorial process prioritises educational value, safety, and transparency — and clearly distinguishes traditional knowledge from medical advice.

Our standards

Every article, herb profile, routine guide, and product recommendation on Ayurvedaa is written to educate, not to prescribe. We follow a clear set of editorial principles: content must be accurate, traceable to credible sources, and written in plain language that beginners can understand. We avoid sensationalism, unsupported health claims, and language that implies medical authority.

Sourcing and research

Our writers research each topic using a combination of traditional Ayurvedic texts (including classical references from Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita), peer-reviewed studies from databases such as PubMed, and established Ayurvedic reference works. Where modern clinical evidence exists, we note it. Where it does not, we present traditional usage clearly labelled as such. We do not treat the absence of clinical evidence as proof of inefficacy.

Expert review process

Health-related content on this site — particularly herb profiles, dosha guides, and wellness routines — is reviewed for accuracy and appropriate safety language before publication. When a piece is reviewed by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare professional, this is noted explicitly in the article. Content not marked as expert-reviewed has been written and edited to our internal standards but has not undergone formal practitioner review.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships and sponsored content do not influence which topics we cover or what we say about a herb, product, or practice. Our editorial team makes all content decisions independently. Where we earn revenue through affiliate links, this is disclosed clearly on each relevant page. Sponsored content, if any, is always labelled as such and held to the same accuracy standards as editorial content.

Keeping content current

Ayurvedic research and safety guidance evolve. We review key content periodically and update it when new evidence, regulatory guidance, or safety information warrants a change. The "Last updated" date on each page reflects when the content was last meaningfully revised. If you believe a page contains outdated or inaccurate information, please see our Corrections Policy.
